"These photographs capture a liminal space within an open book, a tangible portal into a realm of hidden narratives and fragmented knowledge. The aged, textured pages, bathed in a warm, directional light, speak to the materiality of information and the passage of time, suggesting a physical repository of human curiosity.

The inscription, 'JUDDA,' acts as a cryptic anchor, a textual clue within the visual chaos, inviting speculation on the book's origins and contents. Evoking a sense of  exploration, a foray into uncharted territories.

The images explore the act of revelation, where the book becomes a vessel for both knowledge and imagination. The interplay of light and shadow, combined with the fragmented narrative, suggests a story partially obscured, prompting the viewer to piece together the visual and textual fragments to construct a coherent understanding. They are a meditation on the book's enduring power as a repository of secrets, a physical embodiment of human desire to understand and interpret the world."

"This painting, part of the 'Mirror Mirror' series, delves into the complex and often unsettling relationship between figure and ground, reflecting the act of self-perception through a distorted lens. The stark contrast between the vibrant orange field and the deep black circle creates a visual tension, a push and pull that mirrors the internal dialogue between the self and its reflection.

The black circle, a seemingly infinite void, acts as a dark mirror, inviting introspection and self-examination. The irregular, organic edge of the circle suggests a fractured or imperfect reflection, challenging the notion of a clear and stable self-image. The intense orange field, a symbol of energy and vitality, surrounds this dark mirror, creating a dynamic interplay between presence and absence, self and other.

This work explores the psychological space of self-reflection, where the act of looking into a mirror becomes a confrontation with the unknown, the shadow self. The 'Mirror Mirror' series, in its entirety, invites the viewer to question the nature of identity and the elusive pursuit of self-understanding."

"These paintings explore the dynamic interplay between figure and ground, where the perceived relationship between positive and negative space shifts and evolves. The stark contrast between the vibrant orange field and the deep black circle creates an ambiguous visual field.

The eye is drawn to the void, yet the surrounding orange asserts its presence, challenging the viewer's perception. The irregular edge of the circle further complicates the figure-ground relationship, blurring the boundaries between the two elements.

This work invites contemplation on the subjective nature of perception, where the act of seeing is inherently an act of interpretation. The painting encourages the viewer to actively engage with the visual field, to question their assumptions about form and space, and to experience the constant shift between figure and ground."
